বাংলাদেশ কারিগরি শিক্ষা বোর্ড অনুমোদিত দেশব্যাপী পরিচালিত বেসিক ট্রেড প্রতিষ্ঠান সমূহের জাতীয় সংগঠন ‘‘বেসিক ট্রেড স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্ট ফোরাম” এর সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
শনিবার (১৬’ মে) দুপুরে পাবনা প্রেস ক্লাবের ভিআইপি মিলনায়তনে অনুষ্ঠিত সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে ফোরামের কেন্দ্রীয় আহবায়ক কমিটির সদস্য সচিব মো. তোফাজ্জল হোসেন টুটুল লিখিত বক্তব্য পাঠ করেন। তিনি বলেন সারা দেশে পরিচালিত ৩,৫০০টি প্রতিষ্ঠানে ৫০ হাজারের অধিক প্রশিক্ষক, কর্মকর্তা, কর্মচারী (৭০% টিচিং ও ৩০% অফিস স্টাফ) স্বল্প বেতন-ভাতায় কর্মরত আছেন। করোনা পরিস্থিতিতে সরকারি নির্দেশনা মোতাবেক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো বিগত ১৮ মার্চ ২০২০ থেকে বন্ধ থাকায় তাঁরা অর্থাভাবে মানবেতর জীবন যাপন করছেন। সারা দেশের প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোতে কর্মরত প্রশিক্ষক-কার্মচারীর বেতন-ভাতা, প্রতিষ্ঠানের ভাড়া, ইউটিলিটি ব্যয় (পানি, বিদ্যুৎ, টেলিফোন, ইন্টারনেট ইত্যাদি) বাবদ আমাদের প্রতি মাসে প্রায় ১০৫ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় হয়। বর্তমানে প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো বন্ধ থাকায় উদ্যোক্তাগণ আর্থিক ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন হচ্ছে। করোনা পরিস্থিতির কারণে প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো যদি ৫ মাস বন্ধ থাকে, তাহলে ক্ষতির অংক দাঁড়াবে ৫২৫ কোটি টাকা। এ বিপুল পরিমান ব্যয় নির্বাহ করা আমাদের জন্য দুরূহ হয়ে পড়েছে। দেশে বিপুল সংখ্যক জনগোষ্টীকে কারিগরি ও আইসিটি প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ তৈরির অগ্রযাত্রা অব্যহত রাখতে ৩৫০০টি বেসিক ট্রেড প্রতিষ্ঠানের অনূকুলে নূন্যতম ৫২৫ কোটি টাকা প্রণোদনার প্রাপ্তির জন্য প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নিকট বিণীত আবেদন জানাই।
এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন ফোরামের সদস্য কাজী মিজানুর রহমান জুয়েল, সৌহার্দ বসাক সুমন, টুটন কুমার সরকার, কৌশিক আহম্মেদ শাকিল, আতাউর রহমান জনি, জয়ন্ত কুমার জয় প্রমুখ।
বেসরকারি উদ্যোগে প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো সুনামের সাথে স্বল্প প্রশিক্ষণ ফি’র মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন ট্রেডে কারিগরিসহ আইসিটিতে প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান, ফ্রিলান্সার তৈরি এবং ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। এর পাশাপাশি শাররীক প্রতিবন্ধী, ক্ষুদ্র ও নৃ-গোষ্টি, হিজড়া, বিধবা ও স্বামী পরিত্যক্তা মহিলাসহ সমাজের সুবিধা বঞ্চিত বেকার যুবক-যুবতীদের বিনা খরচে দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন প্রশিক্ষণ দিয়ে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি করছে। বর্তমান সরকারের ভিশন-২০২১ ও রূপকল্প-২০৪১ বাস্তবায়নে প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো সহায়ক ভূমিকা পালন করে যাচ্ছে।
