সিরাজগঞ্জ জেলার শাহজাদপুর উপজেলার শেলাচাপরী গ্রামের মধ্যপাড়া জামে মসজিদে ঈদুল ফিতরের নামাজে সিজদা রত অবস্থায় ইমাম আইয়ুব আলী (৭০) মৃত্যু হয়েছে । (ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাহী রাজিউন)।সোমবার সকালে ঐ মসজিদে ঈদের নামাজের প্রথম জামাত পরিচালনা করছিলেন।
ঈদুল ফিতরের সকাল সাড়ে আটটার নামাজের ইমাম ছিলেন আইয়ুব আলী। নামাজ শুরুর করার পর প্রথম রাকাতের ২য় সিজদায় গিয়ে হঠাৎ ঢলে পড়েন। তখনই তার মৃত্যু হয়। আইয়ুব আলী উপজেলার নন্দলালাপুর আলিম মাদ্রাসার সিনিয়র আরবি প্রভাষক ও এলাকার প্রবীন সমাজসেবক ছিলেন।
